Pot Grown Norway Spruce
  • Pot Grown Norway Spruce

All pot grown trees are delightfully real.

They are still growing, nonetheless most individual and a little wider than a Nordmann, the traditional Norway Spruce or the more slender if a Fraser Fir.
Because the pot grown Norway Spruce has been grown in a pot and has a very good root system, it should not loose too many of it's needles as long as the tree is kept well watered and not shocked into really warm environments.

      Limit time indoors

Living trees are happiest in cool temperatures and natural light. Bring your tree indoors for no longer than 10 day stretches and choose a sunny spot away from a source of heat.

      Water regularly

Water daily and top-dress the soil with some mulch or reindeer moss to help prevent water loss through evaporation.

      Take it outside

After Christmas, take your tree outside and pop it, once again, in a sheltered location. Water it well, soaking the root ball. After a week, move the tree in its container to a sunny spot in your garden where it can live for the rest of the year.

      Repot

If you’ve had your tree for a few seasons, it is best to repot your tree in a larger container. When repotting, mix in a handful of controlled-release organic fertilizer with your potting soil to promote new growth.
